5 Things You Can Do To Grow

We are all creatures that desire to grow and become better. This desire isn’t a bad thing. Most of us (me included) don’t know what or how we can do that. Sometimes we fill this desire with negativity because someone else is experiencing what it is we want. Other times, we paint ourselves in a box saying that we aren’t the right blah blah or we don’t have certain characteristics that would help us. I am here to tell you that thought process is wrong and you can indeed GROW into the person you are meant to be.

Below are 5 steps you can take in order to grow yourself into reaching your potential and perhaps passing it by. We hope you can take each step slowly and see just how possible it is for you to get where you want to go. As always, we are here to help serve you in this process. Let us know…

  1. Growth is NUMBER 1- You must make growth and learning a daily habit. You must devote time to focusing on moving the needle in improving areas like your health and energy, having clarity in your daily schedule, and make it important to you to learn from others.

  2. Look for Opportunities- When you start looking for opportunities, you start seeing them. Can you grow in a conversation with your spouse, coworker, teammate, or a person you just met? Can you see the opportunities for how you can move your needle of growth?

  3. Ask Questions- Most of the time we ask an immediate question and expect the answer to come from that one. Continue asking more questions. Get a little deeper with each question you ask yourself. Finding the right question is much more important than finding the answer to the first one.

  4. Write It Down- Find some way to store your info (journal, notes on your phone, notecard in a folder). I find that just writing notes won’t be enough. I have to go back and reread it over again. When you learn something that you know will benefit you, get it on paper and put it in a place where you can constantly look at it.

  5. Teach It- Don’t worry about how much you know when you are teaching someone. Just try to teach them what it is that you just learned. There you will gain an immense amount of clarity and find out what it is you are missing and need a little more education/facts/growth in order to really grasp it. Learn it, teach it, reflect, REPEAT.
