WORK HARD, WORK SMART, & WORK CONSISTENTLY

As we see sports slowly come back, we begin to see a few people truly stand out. Regardless of the sport, whether it is baseball, in the NBA bubble, or in the rink, we are seeing athletes and leaders raise their performance levels higher than we remember. There is one reason for this. They worked HARD/SMART/CONSISTENTLY during this pandemic. Lets break it down and determine how we might be able to reach the levels of performance that we’ve dreamed about.

Working HARD- How often did you work to the level of discomfort? How often did you leave your comfort zone? What 1 thing could you do that would take you to the brink of your comfort zone that could help you elevate your performance? If you put a 1-10 scale on the work you put in, what would you give? Chart it for the week and average them out.

Working SMART- In sports, we can look at whether the things we are working on are what we see in the game. This is where our decision making and specificity of game scenarios becomes the utmost importance. What actions did you perform the most in the competitions? What actions might you see in the coming competitions in which you should be repping? Working SMART points to progress!

Work CONSISTENTLY- The reason the greats are so few and far between is because they made the decision to WORK every day. It was never a just work when you feel like it kind of schedule. It was a build a plan, execute the plan, regardless of feelings. They stayed with it even when it got hard/difficult or when the desire didn’t match up.

These 3 traits are essential in elevating your performance! Get clarity first. Decide what it will take, whether or not you are willing to execute the plan, and then go crush it! God Bless and Be A Light
